Saigon ⇆ London
My practice is rooted in movement—between places, identities, and ways of seeing. Living between Saigon and London, I navigate a space of duality, where each location becomes a portal to another world. This in-between space is not a displaced limbo, but a chosen identity.
I explore themes of death, taboo, fantasy, and memory. Repetition is my language. Glitching, distorting, looping—this is my ritual. I strip an idea down to its purest form, then repeat it until it slips into something unfamiliar. This cyclical unraveling opens space for contemplation, decay, and rebirth. Hidden meanings surface. Familiar things shift. A new visual language begins to take shape—one that opens up an unknown space of what is known and what is felt.
Across different mediums—graphic design, printmaking, installation, and video—I trust my intuition and embrace spontaneity. Creativity, for me, is a ritual—responding to something deeper, something calling.
This intent extends into my community-driven work. In 2023, I joined Baesianz, a UK-based collective that provides a space for individuals of Asian heritage to exist authentically, free from tokenisation. I also co-founded VINAXOA, a contemporary Viet snacks collective, with the mission to fill the gap in diasporic representation in London’s cultural landscape.
